In 2000 the Vancouver Grey Sox were formed as a Senior B team stocked with recent graduates from Junior fastpitch programs in British Columbia. In 2002 the Grey Sox moved up to the Open level.

The club's philosophy has always been to focus on providing BC players with an opportunity to play fastpitch at the elite level and to possibly play for the Canadian National Team.
